How do I join Ozark Creative Writers?
There is no membership fee. Ozark Creative Writers Inc consists of a small board of directors whose sole purpose is to sponsor a writers' conference each October.

How do I know when the 2010 Conference will be held?
The annual OCW Writers Conference is always the second full weekend in October at the Inn of the Ozarks Convention Center in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

Do you offer one day registration?
Unfortunately we do not offer one day registration fees. Our total conference fees are already well below that of most conferences for writers and to maintain that we are unable to offer single day registration.

What if I miss the registration deadline?
You may register for the conference via mail or online through September 30, 2009. After that date registration will only be available at the door. We are however, not equipped to take credit cards at the door so onsite registration will be by cash or check only.

I want to sell books- how can I buy a table?
Tables are available for selling books on a first come first served basis. The cost of ½ table (8 foot table) is $20 and the cost of a whole table is $40. We usually sell out of tables so book yours when you register.

Is there a separate fee to enter contests?
No. We feel that the conference and the contests are all part of the OCW Conference experience. What makes OCW unique is that unlike many conferences where the winners of the contests are unknown to each other at OCW most of the winners are attendees. Our Awards Banquet is truly a celebration of the efforts of our participants.

Do I have to be present at the Awards Banquet to enter the contests?
You do not have to be present to win. If you are a winner and you are not present your check and certificate will be mailed to your home. In order to enter, all you have to do is postmark your registration fee and contest entries by the deadline.

What happens at the Thursday night gathering?
The Thursday night gathering is an informal time to meet the board, become acquainted with the speakers and connect with other writers from all over the country.

What happens if I am unable to attend and I have already registered?
We normally do not offer refunds. However, if you have an extreme circumstance please email us and we will see what we can do.

How will I know if you have received my registration and contest entries?
If you provide a valid email address you will receive conformation email.

My partner is coming with me but only wants to attend the banquets- Is it possible to buy additional tickets?
Additional banquet tickets may be purchased when you register. A limited number are usually available at the registration desk on Friday but these always go quickly!

Is it the same price if I bring my children?
If you have older children you may purchase a ticket for them as well although it is same price as an adult ticket. The awards banquet and Friday night entertainment are sometimes lengthy events and may not be appropriate for small children.

Must I mail my registration and contest entries at the same time?
No, you may mail your registration or pay online and send in your contest entries at a later date. However to be eligible to enter the contests all entries must be postmarked by August 27, 2009.

Can I register online without paying through Paypal?
Yes you may fill in the online registration form and mail your check or money order to the address provided.
