Johnny D. Boggs-Author
Booklist has called Johnny D. Boggs "among the best western writers at work today." He has won the prestigious Spur Award from Western Writers of America twice, in 2006 for his novel Cam Ford, and in 2002 for his short story "A Piano at Dead Man's Crossing." His novels Ten and Me and The Hart Brand were Spur finalists in 2000 and 2007, and he won the Western Heritage Wrangler Award in 2004 for his novel Spark on the Prairie. A prolific writer of short nonfiction, Boggs has written about all aspects of the American West: travel stories, environmental issues, fashion news, apparel industry trends, history articles, reviews and celebrity Q&As and profiles (including James Arness, Val Kilmer, Chuck Norris, Wes Studi, Randy Travis and his friends rodeo legend Larry Mahan and Western writers Elmer Kelton and Max Evans). He is a staff writer for Persimmon Hill and a frequent contributor to True West, Wild West and Boys' Life.

TWRP started in May 2006 as a small press and epublishing company. Today the company is home to over 1200 romance titles. The company’s premise has been and always will be “a kinder, gentler publishing company”. The company was built on the belief that a publishing contract is a team effort between editor, author and publisher. Penders holds tight to that mission statement and works hard to never disappoint her authors. Penders writing background includes everything from small town newspaper reporting to several years writing confessionals for Dorchester magazines.
